YOU WILL NEVER SEE ME FALL - by Joyce Alcantara

YOU  WILL  NEVER  SEE  ME  FALL

by  Joyce Alcantara

You may see me struggle,
but you won't see me fall.
Regardless if I'm weak or not,
I'm going to stand tall.
Everyone says life is easy,
but truly living it is not.
Times get hard,
people struggle
and constantly get put on the spot.
I'm going to wear the biggest smile,
even though I want to cry.
I'm going to fight to live,
even though I'm destined to die.
And even though it's hard
and I may struggle through it all,
you may see me struggle...
but you will NEVER see me fall.

NO MATTER WHAT - by Angie M Flores

NO  MATTER  WHAT

by Angie M Flores

There are times when you will upset me and
cause me unwanted anger,
but no matter what, "I will always love you."

There are cruel words you might say that will cause me
hurt and bring me sadness,
but no matter what, "I will always love you."

There are going to be unwise decisions you make
that will disappoint me,
but no matter what, "I will always love you."

There are actions you might act upon that will cause
me to worry about you,
but no matter what, "I will always love you."

There will be moments where you will make me cry and
bring me to tears,
but no matter what, "I will always love you."

There will be unforgivable mistakes that you bring upon me,
but no matter what, "I will always love you."

There will be lies told to me in which you test my trust in you,
but no matter what, "I will always love you."

In life there are struggles, arguments, and challenges
we will have to endure,
but no matter what happens, I want you to know that,
"I will always love you," now and forevermore!

DUTCH ARTIST REMBRANDT VAN RIJN AND HIS PAINTING "THE RETURN OF THE PRODIGAL SON".

Rembrandt painted his picture “The Return of the Prodigal Son” shortly before his death.
Some connoisseurs of painting call this canvas the culmination of his work.
But few people know that the famous biblical plot was a reflection of real tragic events in the life of the master.

Perhaps the biblical plot of the picture is known to everyone. The father had two sons. The eldest helped his father in housekeeping, and the youngest demanded his part of the inheritance and went to indulge in all the vices of a wild life. When the money ran out, the unlucky son was at the bottom. He had to graze pigs for a bowl of porridge, to wander, to beg. In the end, he decided to return to his father's house and fall on his knees in front of the parent. Father forgives son.

The return of the prodigal son  -   Rembrandt

This moment in the parable was chosen by the most famous painters. Rembrandt also depicted the scene of the arrival of the prodigal son home. However, his work differs from the canvases of other painters.

If we compare the paintings of Rembrandt and other artists, their striking contrast becomes visible. For example, with Jan Steen, who was at one time much more popular than Rembrandt, the plot in the picture is the same, but made in a more optimistic way. Servants blow a horn, lead to stab a calf, carry good clothes.

Rembrandt does not have all the extra attributes, he focused only on the emotions of  father and son. It would be more correct to say that the emotions on the face of the prodigal son are not visible, but his appearance and posture can say a lot. Torn clothes, worn shoes, corns on the feet - all this so deeply conveys the emotionality of the scene. And also love, the forgiving love of his father ...

“The Return of the Prodigal Son,” the master wrote almost immediately after the terrible tragedy that befell him. His only son Titus did not.

He was the fruit of the love of Rembrandt and his adored wife Saskia.

Titus is the only surviving child in the family, the other three died in infancy but he died before his father - Rembrandt died a year later

Maddened by grief, his father persistently attended to thoughts of suicide. Only work on the painting “The Return of the Prodigal Son” helped not to commit it. Rembrandt as if projected himself to the place of the father in a biblical story, who had the good fortune to hug his child.

STRUCK BY A DART - by Catherine Pulsifer

STRUCK  BY  A  DART

by  Catherine Pulsifer

It started as a flirtation and before I knew
A romantic courtship started to brew.
A relationship was developing before my eyes
And I must honestly say it took me by surprise.

There was an enchantment about the person you were
And a fascination about the things that occurred.
This person I now admired oh I was intrigue
No matter what we did I was never fatigued.

So what started out as a fling
Was now developing into the real thing.
A passion was now filling my heart
Love has struck me like a dart!

LOVE IS - by Thomas a Kempis

LOVE  IS

by  Thomas a Kempis

Love is good above all others,
which alone maketh every
burden light.
Love is watchful, and
whilst sleeping still
keeps watch; though fatigued
is not weary;
though pressed is not forced.
Love is sincere, gentle,
strong, patient, faithful,
prudent, long-suffering, manly.
Love is circumspect, humble,
upright, not weary, not fickle,
not intent on vain things, sober,
chaste, steadfast, quiet, and
guarded in all the senses.

OUR LOVE - by John P. Read

OUR  LOVE

by John P. Read

If I had the words to describe my feelings for you
I would be the happiest man in the universe
But words seem to fail me time and time again
So I have to settle for the words in this verse

Your touch, your smile, your presence and soul
Mesmerize and entangle me completely
If I had but one ambition, one utter goal
It would be to stay by your side for eternity
