ONE ART - by Elizabeth Bishop

ONE  ART

by  Elizabeth  Bishop

The art of losing isn't hard to master;
so many things seem filled with the intent
to be lost that their loss is no disaster.

Lose something every day. Accept the fluster
of lost door keys, the hour badly spent.
The art of losing isn't hard to master.

Then practice losing farther, losing faster:
places, and names, and where it was you meant
to travel. None of these will bring disaster.

I lost my mother's watch. And look! my last, or
next-to-last, of three loved houses went.
The art of losing isn't hard to master.

I lost two cities, lovely ones. And, vaster,
some realms I owned, two rivers, a continent.
I miss them, but it wasn't a disaster.

Even losing you (the joking voice, a gesture
I love) I shan't have lied. It's evident
the art of losing's not too hard to master
though it may look like (Write it!) like disaster.

LOST WITHOUT YOU - by Ana

LOST  WITHOUT  YOU

by  Ana

Lost with out you asking myself why me? why now?
I never thought that I would feel so crazy in love.
My life has not been the same.
Ever since you left
my world has been upside down with nothing to do,
no where to go.
You left with nothing to say, no good byes,no fear wells.
My heart has been left broken,
not wanted, not cared for and its all because of you.
The one I thought loved me and cared for me has left me.
What happened to "I love you ,nothing can brake use apart"
the love that you said was there is now gone.
My mind my soul my heart is gone.
My world my days are now so long

A BEATITUDE - by Edwin Lee Ferrell

A   BEATITUDE

by Edwin Lee Ferrell

dove sounds in the
   winter shorn tree
 mist hovers 'round
   the shrine of tears
     there in the shadows
silence and dried roses
   keep my vigil
      for your heart...

MEMORIES OF THE PAST - by Felicity Jane Martins

MEMORIES OF THE PAST

by Felicity Jane Martins, Scotland

As I look out of the window into my past, I see my happy
thoughts go fast, I see my father as happy may, as if
their is no sorrow today.

A loving father as he has looking down at us above,
the moon will fade the stars go to sleep, but the sun will
rise as a watch on us he does keep.

LOST LOVE - by Stehanie Marie Pickett

LOST  LOVE

by Stehanie Marie Pickett

We saw each other
and exchanged glances
we never talked
I wonder why?

A day later we saw
each other once again
this time it was different
we talked...

I don't recall saying much to you
I remember you quite clearly.
that night we laughed
and talked the night away

Then we were torn apart...
without either, saying good bye...
now that you're gone... I sit alone
I feel lonely constantly... I cry alone

I wonder constantly...
where you are...
who your with...
do you remember me?

Could anyone love you as much as I?
I dream ever day of seeing you again...
then I remember you're older
and loved by someone else...
       not me...

I'LL NEVER FORGET YOU - by Heather Ann Doss-davidson

I'LL  NEVER  FORGET  YOU

by Heather Ann Doss-davidson

I'll never forget you.
So pure and so true
Was my love, my love for you.

You were my best friend,
The one I could count on.
Then you left me
And our friendship was gone.

I lost my best friend
And my first love in one day.
I never thought I could feel this way.

My soul is lonely
And my heart is in pain.
My tears fall hard,
As hard as the rain.

You say you love
And care about me still,
But I have a hard time believing,
Believing it's real.

You shut me out
And push me away.
Is this what you want,
For me to hurt everyday?

What's holding you back?
Why don't you want me?
Did I do something wrong,
Or is it that you just don't love me?

We had something special
And you know you can't deny it.
So why do you try so hard,
So hard to fight it?

I really love you
With all my heart.
I always have,
From the very start.

You were my baby,
My other half.
You made me smile,
You made me laugh.

You made me happy,
You made me shine.
I miss you,
You were mine!

Memories of you
Play through my head,
I keep thinking about
The things that you said.

You told me once,
" We'll last forever."
When did forever
Turn into never?

I didn't see it coming,
The end of us for good.
I thought we'd be together,
Just like you said we would

I don't know what happened,
But I know my love for you
Will last forever and ever.
This vow will always stay true.

So wherever you decide to go in life
And whatever you decide to do,
I know in my heart
That I will never forget you.

THROUGH THE MIRROR - by Cynthia Ferguson

THROUGH  THE  MIRROR

by Cynthia Ferguson

So now I know
Life has played its part
I never would believe
that I could die
from a broken heart

No you can’t mend me
it’s been far too long
everyone will go
everyone has gone
everyone will leave
that God did lend me

I could only watch
then step aside
as it all just went
no matter what I tried
the only thing I can say
was how hard I cried

It was a shiver in the mirror
A reflection of pain
Where the shadows of doubts
were cast and bent
Any old soul
or any message sent
Were at the end of the road
and who is left out

So now I know
Life has played it’s part
now I do believe
that I will die
from a broken heart

TODAY - by Ann Foster.

TODAY

by    Ann Foster.

I say good-bye,
but I do not want to.
I say fair-well,
but I do not mean it.
Be gone!
No…
I am not angry.

I am sad,
I am empty,
I am left wanting.

We did not do enough,
see sufficiently, or speak all the secrets…
that needed telling.

There were songs, yet to hear,
birds yet to watch,
to be done.

Where you go,
I can not yet follow.
Yet, I know “He” is with you there.
Hold you dearly for me,
tell you all is well,
I will be along…
soon.

When the dawn passes,
and the afternoon is hot,
the evening will wane…
The stars will come out.
I will see you again.

It is hard to wait,
but the joy of our celebration…,
will be like the beginning
of time itself.

REMEMBER - by Christina Georgina Rossetti

REMEMBER

by Christina Georgina Rossetti

Remember me when I am gone away,
    Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you plann'd:
    Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad.
