OLD WESTBURY GARDENS - United States

Old Westbury Gardens is a luxurious estate located on 200 acres surrounded by a park, forests, lakes and ponds. It was built at the beginning of the 20th century by Hon Schaffer Phipps. In 1903, he promised his British bride to build a house in the United States, similar to her family estate in Battle Abbey - and fulfilled the promise. After the death of Phipps in 1958, the estate and well-preserved gardens and estates were open to the public. It is also used for wedding photography and ceremonies.

Today, Old Westbury Gardens is arguably the best-preserved estate on the Gold Coast, where historical tours, educational programs and lectures on nature, as well as outdoor concerts and festivals, take place.
