RAINDROPS FROM HEAVEN !
by Westly Alexander Shaw
Raindrops, raindrops, falling from heaven,
falling all around.
I see your drops go splat, just like bugs on
my car window.
I see the children standing all around with
their mouths wide open, as if chicks waiting
to be feed. Waiting, waiting, for your sweet
cool drops, more precious then any jewels.
I can hear the women all screaming, as your
drops fall on their freshly styled hair.
I take my hands and reach out to you, as huge
cold puddles form at my feet.
Drifting in the air mixing in with your fresh
earthly smells, is the roses from my garden,
dancing all around.
When nothing in life ever seems to go just
right, and who knows what tomorrow will
bring. All I can do is what the raindrops do,
take one moment at a time, and be myself.
The rain surrounds me with its blanket of
fresh drops, and I let my mind be free as
the rain, for just this instant in time.
Raindrops, raindrops, falling from heaven,
falling all around.
